Auction Rules

  1. All items offered for sale must be hobby related.
  2. Equipment must be clean and noted as to quality and workability.
  3. There is a limit of 40 bags per person or family, 5 bags of like species or dry good items submitter per seller.
  4. All livestock must be clearly identified with scientific or common name, number of fish in bag identified as pair (M/F), Breeding pair (M/F that have spawned) or sex, if known, and sellers assigned number.
  5. Color dots may be used to prioritize items in the auction.  If this auction is using colored dots, you can select which of your items should be auctioned off earlier.  Sellers may not trade or give away dots with other sellers. 
  6. Sellers may decide to sell 1/5th of their items at the “Buy It Now” table.  These items will go for a set amount of time as deemed by the auction staff. 
  7. Livestock must be healthy.  No fish visibly diseased will be sold in the auction.
  8. No ZiplockTM bags or sandwich bags for fish or plants.
  9. Fish must be bagged properly, 1/3 water & 2/3 air, unless it is a KordonTM breathing bag, then no air is needed.
  10. Bids will be accepted in dollar increments.
  11. Minimum bids are allowed and encouraged to use the "Buy It Now" table, need to be clearly marked on bags and auction form.
  12. Auction split will be 70/30 with 70% going to seller and 30% going to club for club members.  For non club members it will be 60/40 split with 60% going to seller and 40% going to the club.
  13. All purchases become the responsibility of the buyer when sold.
  14. No felt tipped markers can be used on bags.
  15. All bags/items left after the conclusion of the auction become the property of the club.
  16. Payouts to the seller will be available 30 days following the auction.
  17. We of the HAAS, nor the auction location site, will not and cannot be held liable for injuries, or lost or stolen items while on these premises.
  18. Seller check-in starts at 10:30am and ends at noon.  Viewing starts at 11:00am and ends at noon.
  19. We will be accepting checks and PayPal for payment.  A $25.00 fee will be charged for any non sufficient funds or returned checks.  Refusal to pay check and fee will result in prosecution.
  20. Any item not sold or picked up by the end of the auction will become property of HAAS or may be purchased back for $1.00 at the conclusion of the auction.
  21. Any rules challenge decisions by the chair are final.
  22. For a nominal fee of $2.00 you may move up to be auction immediately.  Please take bag to runner.
