I got these from Patty a long time ago and never did catch the males holding. Finally did and now have a nice batch of free swimming fry. Patty tells me they are even a target species so double woot!

Here is one of the males. The babies are tiny and almost black replicas of the adults.



Babies, that is dried duckweed on the outside of the container for a size comparison:



I had them so long I forgot what they were but I was trying to be patient.

Those are gorgeous! Are they mouth brooders or nest builders?
