Good job Patty! These are the mouth brooding apistos, correct? I would suspect their spawns are much smaller than the cave spawners...how big are the new babies?

They are really little. They are so small, you have to just keep looking at the place mama is guarding until something actually moves. I could never just pick them out, even after they move.

You like a challenge don't you. It is good we have folks like you that do so we can all benefit from your experience and experiences. Sound like cool little fish.

How are your females coloration? are they a nice bright yellow? I ask since mine have only colored up like that a couple times....
Congrats on the spawn.... |

Rob, the female that spawned is noticeably more yellow than the other female.
I have 3M/2F. I took 2M/1F out of that tank and left the lone fry and the pair to see if I had a better chance of getting more babies. I also have some cory pygmaeus in that tank. I may have to take them out. |
