Just came home from the park with the wife a while ago. Was outside cleaning the balcony, came in, and while reading on this great website, determined the following:
1. I have two yellow labs holding 2. I have two acei "msuli" holding, and another laying, 3. I have one cynotilipia afra "cobue" holding. Now, I watched these fish quite a bit last night, and I'm pretty sure there was not any fishy business had taken place, except for a yellow lab that has been holding for about two weeks now. So, either this weather is driving them crazy, or my lack of water changes this week some how excites them. Will post pics later. |

Sounds like they like whatever you are doing. Great news and good luck with the spawns.

I have 5 different females holding. Well one spit today so I guess only 4. This has been with all my ups and downs with my tank temperatures.
We expect some BAP reports. Walter |

UPDATE:
Today I was preparing to do my weekly maintenance on the tank...and here's what I found: 4 yellow lab fry (about .5 " length) 2 cynotylipia afra "cobue" fry (about .25 " length) 6 pseudotropheus acei "msuli" fry (about .5 " length) I'm fairly confident there are more... I tried taking pics, but they all came out too fuzzy. Not enough to bap yet...but we're moving in about 3 months, so should be able to catch them and bap them at that time... I'M EXCITED!!! This has been a 6 month wait since I got rid of my angels, kribs, rams, and tetras that I've had a spawn! |
