I've got 5 Julii corys in my 45, and they've got some kind of white substance all over them. It's not white spots like Ich, it's more like a milky coating. it's not on any of the other fish in the tank (5 cardinal tetras, 1 GBR, 9 marble hatchets, 1 panda cory, 1 marble sailfin pleco). I thought it might be the GBR picking on them, but I treated the tank with some malachite green and it went away on 2 of the julii. Any ideas on what it might be?

I recently read of something similar that went away with a larger than usual water change. Also the other thing that was mentioned was if you are using a sponge filter to give it a good cleaning.
Plus points for keeping five Julii! Let me know if this helps or not. Steve/Woo |

Well, I did a large WC after the outbreak, and I thought it was OK, as the stuff went away. Yesterday morning before work I saw that it was back on my Julii and I could only find 2 of my five. After searching when I got home from work, 2 had stuck inside my castle and perished, and the resulting ammonia issue claimed my other 2 Julii and the platy in the tank. My GBR has something on his right eye as well. Did a 90% WC last night, will keep an eye on it and hope I don't lose anything else. Now my poor panda cory is all alone....
