My experience with yellow labs that were swimming like that had to do with water quality.
I got behind in water changes in an overcrowded 29 gallon tank of yellow labs. I was not able to turn the problem around and lost all the fish over a period of several weeks. I have no explanation for what happened to me other than the water change issue. Salt and water changes did not turn around the problem. I have kept Africans for years and this is the first time it has happened to me like that. I am not saying that is what happened to you, but that is all I can add to the diagnoses. I would catch her and put her in a quarantine tank. It may be stress related and the lack of food. The females tend to hold longer in a community tank. If they get emaciated they will eventually die. That is why they recommend keeping the female in a tank by herself so she can be reconditioned for breeding. Walter |
