Can some of you help me properly ID these plants? I have two in direct question, with a third that I would like you to verify.
The two I am not sure on are the two rotala's...one with thinner leaves (left side of tank)and one with broad leaves behind the wood. The one I would like to verify is what I believe to be Rotala Indica (tall skinny rotala to the right of the wood and left of the filter intake. www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/pla...enus&spec=Rotala Am I correct on the Indica and what are the other two varieties? Thanks for the help! Luke |

Can anyone help me narrow the ID down further than this?

Did you get those at the mini auction at Steven Noble's brackish talk? I bought some, too. The round leaf is Ludwigia repens.
The other plant was labeled as Rotala indica (which would be correctly labeled as Rotala rotundifolia), but doesn't look like any I've ever seen. It looks more like the so-called Rotala magenta, which I believe is a form of Rotala macranda, but I've never seen it grow that large. It also looks like the narrow leaf ludwigia, Ludwigia palustris. Unfortunately, it's been years since I've seen either of those two species up close and personal, so I can't make a definitive ID on the narrow-leaf plant. |

I didn't get them from the mini auction...the broad leaf plant was from my 10g tank and was purchased at least 5 years ago from a lfs. The others are from another club member last year...but we never ID the plants specifically, just generally.
Thanks for the thoughts/insight. Luke |
