Just a heads up.
Nuts and Bolts hardware stores have 100 watt clamp lights on sale for $4 ea.
They are a TrueValue store. I don't know if all TrueValue stores have the same sale or not.
Nuts and Bolts are located in Overland Park at 9628 Nall and Independence at 3848 Noland rd.

oh of COURSE they'd have these on sale now that I gave up the idea of using them and spent money on a different light! lol

Can't find them on their webpage, but I was thinking it was similar to the ones you would use with reptiles. Walter?

just regular ol' screw in fixtures. you can take a few of them on smaller tanks and use screw in spiral flourescents with great effect for planted tanks. I've since gotten rid of all my ten gallons so I don't need them anyway, but I've seen some pretty tanks with these clipped on as a light source.
