Mike Things to remember Bring cash. We won't have paypal and there is not an ATM. Sellers take care of their own transactions and may not want to accept checks. Bring snacks. Bring a cooler. Someplace to keep your fish as you shop. Be sure to talk to folks and meet people with similar interests. |

Please put your thoughts here to share with others about your experience last year.
I was pleasantly suprised at how easy it was to participate. Especially since it was our first run at a swap. Of course we had a couple glitches with registration, but the event itself was really nice. What I really liked about it was it was way more laid back than the auctions. You could mingle and chat a little more easily. It's also a lot shorter of an event. You don't have to wait for bags of fish, so you come get what you want and stay as long as you want but you don't feel like you've missed anything. You also get your cash immediately! You don't have to wait for the club to send it to you! |

If you're manning a table, bring plenty of change.
Also, bring a second person (aka a spouse) to man the table while you run around and buy stuff. Towards the end it seems like you can really wheel and deal. Get there early for the hot stuff. I know a lot of people sold out quick. |

We are going to extend the earlybird registration out one week. Since we haven't been able to notify our members without internet access in a timely fashion we thought that would be fair. So, you have thru August 8th to get a table reserved.

Sellers don't forget to bring small bills to make change with unless you are only selling expensive stuff then bring what you need. Buyers bring small bills to pay with. Each vendor does his own money handling so let's all work together and spend lots of money.

It is not too late to get a table and sell. If you don't have enough items to fill a table ask on the forum to find someone to share one with. I am sure most of us have some excess equipment or fish they could part with.

If folks want to help setup tables, please show up around 10:00 a.m. Won't be a lot to do, but every little bit helps! Looking forward to another fun HAAS event!

SWAP was a ton of fun. Was nice chatting with more folks that we get to during the auctions. Picked up some koi angels from Damon, some nice plants from JackD, some cherry red shrimp and some Julidochromis. Sad we couldn't stay long, but Debbie had some plans.
A HUGE "Thank You" needs to go out to Mike Meyer who basically organized this whole deal on his own and took it upon himself to do get it done. |

The baby is beautiful. I enjoyed playing "grandma" for a few minutes. Carla
We came home with some of Jack's discus. They look great in our tank. Also, brought home some angels for us and a friend. Pretty red swordtails made it into our vehicle somehow!!!! Harold and Carla |
